New Update Format Doesn't Give Me A Choice of what I want

Just checked out the new MS Windows Update and did the search and presented
several updates it decided I needed, or at least didn't have. I only wanted
the one XP update and did not want the Office items like French spelling etc.
but it did not give me an option. Did I miss something. If I did let me know.
If this is not an option then I'll shut off updates and occasionally check
and see if I can individually download them to file and then install them.
What a pain that would be!

If you're referring to Windows Update website, choose Custom Install instead
of Express Install and then Hide these updates.
