Hello; recently, I've installed MS SQL Server 2005 Express on my laptop,
using Windows Vista. I then began getting updates for the SQL Server 2005
express:

Security Update for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (KB948109)

Download size: 26.2 MB

Well, that's fine if I have SQL SERVER 2005, but since, I've uninstalled it
and I still keep getting this update file. How do I configure the windows
update service on my laptop to prevent the windows update feature to stop
asking me to install this security update for SQL Server 2005, as shown
above? I don't have sql server 2005 on my laptop anymore and I don't want
this message anymore. Thanks.

Have you considered hiding the update?

1. Click View available updates
2. Right-click on the update you wish to hide
3. Click Hide Update
4. Confirm the UAC if needed

Hi; that seemed to do the trick, but I wanted the update service to recognize
that I don't have sql server 2005 express on my laptop and for it to stop
sending me that security update for sql server 2005. THAT's what I want to
happen. How do I do that?

1. Let the update install. Something left over is triggering this.

I do allow it to install, but I get an error message every time I run the
install.
