new updates

i forgot to mention on my question before, my windows update icon keeps
popping up and says your computer is infected and when you touch it it brings
you to a website to download ContraVirus and even though i downloaded it the
update pop up wont stop, please help if there's any solution thank you!!!

This is NOT the Windows Update icon: it is something else pretending to be
one. Your PC is infected with adware or malware which is trying to
encourage you to download "ContraVirus" (Microsoft would never recommend
that you do that). Now you've been fooled into downloading it, I'm afraid
your PC might be infected with almost anything.

This is NOT a Windows Update issue. Please take your problem to a forum
which specialises in cleansing infected PCs.

You don't want ContraVirus on your machine. It is NOT a Windows Update.

Use Spybot [http://www.safer-networking.org/] or AdAware
[http://www.lavasoftusa.com/] to get rid of it.
