Ever since downloading the april 12th updates my computer has died a sudden
unexpected death every time Norton tries to scan for threats. It gets 2/3rds
of the way through then turns itself off, I dont even get the blue screen of
death! So thanks to these updates I now cannot scan my computer for viruses
and other threats, and far from being more secure, god only knows what could
be munching its way through my hard drive without my knowledge. Thank you
microsoft ! ! ! ! !

the OS is XP home with SP2. I have run liveupdate and norton is up to date. I
have uninstalled as many of the updates as I could through add/remove
programmes but I suspect as the only two I couldnt do were malicious software
removal tool and windows installer 3.1 that it is one of these that is the
culprit as yet again it crashed when I ran the scan.
