So apologies, no doubt these question have been asked many times before.
I am running Virtual PC 2007.
Host is Vista Business.
Guest OS is Windows 2003 Server SP1.
I have shared my ADSL connection with the guest OS so can access the Net.

How is the guest OD protected? e.g. AV etc?
Am I correct in thinking that my guest OS is a complete sandpit and that no
windows updates done on the guest will have any adverse effects on my host?

I have allocated 1GB memory to the guest but the mouse is still a little
jerky.
Any way to improve this?

The additions run just fine on Windows 2003 guests.

Yep.

Still not having any problems with that combo? I always ran into db
corruption after about 2 or 3 weeks, I never did figure out why. And
that's with external or internal drives. It had to be some timing
issue, probably something when the cleanup was running it wasn't
getting enough CPU or something, I haven't tried it on my faster quad
core machine yet. Of course there's been a lot of fixes since when I
tried it too...
