I just installed the new Beta version, and I'm having some issues with it. I
decided to switch back, but I'm having a very difficult time uninstalling.
When I open the window for uninstall, I can't choose continue unless I
deselect Windows Live Beta. I made sure the program was no longer running,
and so I am at a loss. If anyone can tell me how to get through the
uninstall it would be much appreciated.

Hello Turkadactyl and Hafelife,

To uninstall this beta version of Internet Explorer 8, you just need to
select "Windows Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2" listed in the "Programs and
Features" "View Installed Updates" link. For more about this, see:
'Windows Update - Uninstall'

Hope this helps,
Shawn

I have a similar problem with the uninstalling; I can't even deselect the
programs because the checkboxes are not accessible; it doesn't work if I
press space to uncheck so the "continue" button to go further stays as
unavailable. I'm totally blind so no way of using the mouse; it has to be
accessible with the keyboard.

I had the same problem.
Try to install every item first, and then uninstall the whole package
The second time you can probably uncheck everything & continue th
uninstalling
It worked with me

stability i prefer the older one..and i want it back..

You can remove when you're in software map (control panel). A differen
window opens & you can check or uncheck the different parts (phot
gallery, live mail, family ..., messenger and some other I think).
did not have them all installed. So I did install it all. Rebooted th
pc. Went back to software (in control panel) & started deletin
procedure again. I unchecked every item and suddenly I was able t
proceed the uninstall..

I personally did not like the beta because I couldn't add smileys in m
messenger... :-
