Umm, sounds like you hit windows catalog instead of microsoft update. If you
have run "windows update" recently, it installs the new "microsoft update"
that will be higher on the list than the windows update will be. The new and
improved update site now searches for updates for windows as well as other
microsoft products such as their image suites and office applications. Once
again, don't click on the icon for windows catalog. Use the link to
microsoft update.
Or you can just go to update.microsoft.com
