new WLM does not allow me to set audio/video option

I was forced to upgrade and now I cannot set audio/video option with the new
WLM either 8.1 or 8.5 versions. The app hangs up whenever I select that
option from the menus, and before MS started this mess WLM worked just fine
with my logitech webcam/mic.

Does anyone know when a solution to problems like this one will be solved?
By the way, when WLM hangs up, I am forced to kill the app by using the task
manager. I hope that at some point MS will come thru and fix this mess.

I am very dissapointed to say the least.
