Johnathan, I was reading in your Blog about the msi installer for download
under the windows live messenger article. and the version is reading
Version 2009: 14.0.8089.726 is this an actual release for the public? and if
so when will it be avaiable on the messenger site for download? as I thought
the latest
was 14.0.8064.206.

Greetings Skywolfe,

Yes, this is the public version. The official release was last Wednesday (the 19th).

If you download Messenger now, this is the version you'd get.

Hi Skywolfe,

That's normal for any new software, as Windows doesn't have prefetch data for it. Give it a
few days, I think you'll find the speed increase back to what you expect

I've not seen any speed decrease myself.

ok. the only thing I have really noticed is the loading time it takes to
bring it to the screen when it is first opened. it used to be an immediate
thing. it is now a few second delay at the most.
