Newsgroups Question

I've downloaded WLM, and have been experimenting with it.
Two questions.

1. I find that the Microsoft newsgroups download very
slowly, and it takes much longer to switch between newsgroup
messages than with WM. This has been mentioned by others on
this and other Microsoft newsgroups. Are there rumors of a
fix for this problem? Has Microsoft even acknowledged this
problem? I have read and appreciate the suggestion to use
WM for newsgroups and WLM for email, but I'd prefer to avoid
that.

2. Aside from the Microsoft newsgroups which came up
automatically when I downloaded WLM, how might I get the
usenet newsgroups which appear on my WM screen as
"news.west.earthlink.net" and are, I believe, part of my
Earthlink ISP service?

Help appreciated.

1. I have not heard of anything acknowledged by MS.

2. At the bottom of the Folders pane: "Add newsgroup account". Follow the
Wizard, and add the appropriate information in the fields as you "Next" your
way through.

Any newsgroups in WLMail did not come with the download, but were migrated
from your previous program.
The news messages do not migrate or import and have to be redownloaded.
Are you downloading headers or messages?

If there was a fix, I wouldn't be using Windows Mail for newsgroups.

Get News Rover or something else if you want a real news reader/downloader.
WLM is as bad as Outlook Express as a news reader.
