First:
- Grab the WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe and install it...
(Save it to your computer, close all open porgrams, run it from where you
saved it.)

You likely have plain old Windows XP - 32 bit... not x64.
Then - visit
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and scan your computer for
updates.
