Ok well instead of posting via Google I am now posting using
Thunderbird on my home PC. And I am using msnews.Microsoft.com
The Microsoft news server had ZERO issues getting the list of newsgroups
and assuming you see this message the process sending out via
Thunderbird to msnews.Microsoft.com via my ISP works.
I am still confused though.
My ISP news server still doesn't work in Thunderbird. Same old story. It
connects in Thunderbird for a few seconds but no newsgroups in the list.
I setup msnews.Microsoft.news in Windows Mail and (of course) no
login/password) And it connects for 1 second and gives me
"The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server"
Server msnews.Microsoft.com
Protocol NNTP
Port 119
SSL:0
Code: 800ccc0f
Hooray....
Anyway so Windows Mail is still stuck. So why would the Microsoft News
Server work in Thunderbird using my ISP but not in Windows Mail. Of
course I still have the problem of news.netnews.net not working in either.
AS for aioe.org Thunderbird is downloading the list of groups right
now. But in Windows mail I got
"The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server"
This is really getting on my nerves.
My ISP News Server works in nothing so far but other things work in
Thunderbird.
Am I missing something in Windows Mail and/or Vista that could cause this?
Thanks again for your time.
