No active X control on Microsoft Update

Hi,

When I try to access Microsoft Update the page states that it needs an
Active X control to be installed for it to work. To install the Active X
control I would need to right-click on the information bar and then choose to
install the Active X control, but that bar never appears. I don't get any
error messages either. The FAQ of Microsoft Update only offers resolutions to
problems which do give an error message, but I don't receive any error
messages at all.

How do I resolve this?
