Yes. I kept digging and found an obscure reference on an HP discussion page
that this issue occurs on occasion and no one knows the fix. I had not
heard of it before. Not worth a hard reset over as far as I am concerned.
I thought there might be a simple fix. I looked through the registry and as
far as my limited knowledge goes, references to the INFBEG sound appeared
OK.
Here is the HP link and they claim there is no fix or work around. Kind of
odd it affects a Dell too:
