When I surf to our national TV station (CBC) I can watch video clips
without any problem but when I try to watch live shows, the Windows
Media Player starts up and I can watch the show but there is no audio.
Anyone have some suggestions on what is causing this?

Most often, that is the lack of a codec for the audio
Using codecs:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...faq/codec.mspx
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. On the Player tab, select the Download codecs automatically check box.

The Windows Media Player is set to download missing codecs
automatically. The media player does not tell me that any codecs are
missing but all I see is the video, no audio.

Right after I sent that message I tried it again and this time the
browser asked to install a missing plugin! It could not do it but I
managed to download and install it manually and now everything works.
Thanks.
