Hi,
When I use Live Messenger I can perform an audio call with no problem. When
I goto do a video call, there is no audio at all. I read in the posts that
logitech drivers may cause the issue. I have a logitech camera on one of the
PCs but it is not the video device I use. Both video devices are capture
cards (713x BDA Analog capture in Vista and Hauppage capture on XP)
Also, it looks like my audio devices are set to the correct device when I
make the call. The video looks great, just a pity I have no audio...
Can anyone help please!?

Hello,

If you're not able to solve your issue, try using Skype. It is free and
supports video.

Hi,

I have tried to use Yahoo and AIM and so far they have worked althought he
video quality wasn't as good as MSN. I may experiment with skype but I would
like this resolved as I have just explained to my Dad how to use it and that
was a task in itself...

SightSpeed also works - I suspect it's a Vista/MSN Problem, simply because
it happns with multi makes of cameras.

Hi,

I have tried it from XP to XP as well. A bit poor really. I can do a web n
audio in yahoo but the quality is a bit poor.
Looks like I may have to find an alternative unless there is a simple magic
thing I need to do.

I had the same problem but I did find a work around elsewhere. If you start
a voice call and then after that has established you can click on the small
webcam icons under the personal pictures to start the video connection, you
should then get both audio and video. Like you i you just choose video call
all you get is video. You will probably need to manuallystart both cameras -
it worked for me but the audio is still somewhat flakey and liable to
overload.

There is clearly some incompatibility between MS IM and Logitech Cameras
going on here - I cant see its anything the user can fix - lets hope they fix
the bug properly soon
