No Audio in Video Chat with Windows Live Messgenger 8.1

I can get audio chat to work and Video. but when I try to do a video call I
only get video and no audio. The audio sliders bars can't be used either. I'm
running vista too.

vista as well
if i start voice call and than add video to existing voice call i have both
working but if i start video call i get no audio and both level bars get no
green and sliders are all the way down and can't be moved

Is there any other solution besides the two seperate audio and video calls..
or is this just a Vista issue?.

The very same things happen here... Vista Ultimate.
