No audio for youtube!!!!

hi everyone, i am looking for someone to help me out with a prob. i have
a sony vaio vgn - fz11z notebook and i bought it like 5 months ago.
however, about 3 days ago, i tried playing some online videos (youtube)
from my laptop, the video played but there was no audio. now i am very
worried, as its only been 5 months and i dunno what to do. i tried
playing any of the songs stored on my laptop and the audio came, however
it was only for youtube and any other online videos that the audio did
not play.

i have been searching online for the past 3 days and have tried
everything from uninstalling and reinstalling flash, using the registry
(regedit) trick. however, the audio still does not play, someone please
help me, ill be forever in debt .

i went to contol panel and then sounds, heres what was written:

Speakers/Headphones: SIGMATEL HD AUDIO CODEC: WORKING

the second one was:

HDMI: SIGMATEL HD AUDIO CODEC: NOT PLUGGED IN

can someone please explain this to me?? thanks alot

I have connected the HDMI of the Vaio to my HTSF1100, but when I try t
enable the HDMI sound in playback devices, it says 'not plugged in' eve
tough it is! Ive tried everything from different drivers to switchin
the ends of the cable around. On the Video2/BD on the HTSF1100, it keep
saying 'unlock', which means set up the input signal. Anyone have an
ideas. Much obliged. :
