No boot after driver update for Silicon Image Raid Controller

I have Windows Vista beta 2 (Evaluation version 5600) running on a home built
PC around the Asus K8N-E deluxe motherboard, AMD64 3000+ processor and 2 x
80GB Maxtor 6L080M0 SATA HDs running in a RAID1 configuration. A new driver
down loaded this morning via WU. Having installed it, on rebooting it found
new hardware and installed the driver requesting another re-boot. On
restarting it starts to boot then hangs and goes through the cycle all over
again.

Any suggestions please?

Hi there,

Some free advice: never take any drivers from windows update unless you want
to have problems.

Ty rolling back on the driver or use system restore or whatever it is named
now in Vista.

If really needed ( if it works well :leave it be working well) take the
drivers from the silicone image website.
