No contacts after upgrading WLM

After upgrading my Windows Live Messenger i can't see any of my contacts in
the messenger though my contact list is there when i go to hotmail.com. I
know this is a problem as my friends are facing it too but please can anyone
tell me solution for it.

sorry you ran into this.

if you go to www.hotmail.com, do your contacts show up?
Can you try signing and signing out a few times and see if that resolves
your problem?
If it doesn't can you send your local log files to and
put in the description that you can't see your contacts?

I do not have the Msnmsgr.txt

I would like to add: If I clickon Actions, Video, Send MY Webcam ... it will
show a list of online contacts (same with starting/sending anything including
a message) .. also, when a contact logs in, i get the popup for that.

The ONLY place the contacts are not shows is in my contact list.

I am experiencing the same problem as both Spyke and Ryan here.

I just installed the latest version (Noon, Friday 20th of December,
Melbourne, Australia). I am using the latest version from the windows live
messenger website. I can't say which version number that is as another
problem with the new messenger is that pressing Help -> About does absolutely
nothing.

Just like Ryan describes I can see my contacts by pressing Actions -> Send
an instant message for example. However the main contact list is empty.

I can add that I upgraded on two machines one Win XP Pro and one Win XP
Home. On the Home computer it works just fine.

Please help me to get my contacts I can't see it after upgrade and I tried
to login from web and then relogin from wlm but nothing has changed

there seems to be a problem with your local contact store (DB) integrity.

Can you try these steps below:
1. go to messenger's sign-in window
2. click "forget me"
3. exit & restart messenger.
4. try again.
