no desktop help!!!!!!

my computer just randomly shutdown and when i restared it the desktop was
gone there was nothing there no start menu no icons just all black the only
thing that is thier is the documents folder so i can go to my destop floder
and stuff
o and if it help it shut down right when i formated my mermory stick dou on
my psp thatr was pluged into the computer please help just got this computer
