MS must have gotten complaints about file searches returning too many
dlls ect. So they created the Indexing system.
but they also did another damn fool thing - the Search only returns
items that BEGIN with the string you type in; NOT partial as in
finding a file name firstxxxx.xxx by searching for rst, as in previous
Windows.
In short, they deleted the 'implied wild card * character' in file
search.
The fix is to lead your search string with the * character, no
spaces, and you will get the files you deserve.
