Hi!

Check the mute button????

He said that his sound works perfectly EXCEPT for in MP10.

I don't that he's unconsiously turning MUTE ON every time he opens MP10 and
then turning it off when he tries something else.

There is nothing on this website, or any other I could find to fix this,
other than dump MP10 and go back to MP9. That is what I'd like to do, but
when I tried to download 9, MS won't let me!

How do I go back to MP9?

MP has its own mute button. And believe it or not this has been the
culprit for other people who have posted with EXACTLY the same symptoms.
For one guy, the muting survived a reinstall.

I installed MP 10 on WinXP n my new toshiba laptop. I lost all sound to from
startuo to closing. No mute buttons are on, volume controls are they were
before installing this. I will uninstall unless someone tells me an easy
solution.

So it's not just a WMP issue? System sounds are lost as well? Is there a
hardware mute button on you laptop?
