No Forefront updates since 24 October

Hi,

Since Forefront update 1.45.1041.0, 24.10.2008 no new updates have been
downloaded. No errors are reported, and manual update is working (it
installed 1.45.111.0, 27.10.2008).

I have de-selected Forefront from WSUS, run cleanup and then a "Synchronize
Now", and finally re-selected Forefront and run another "Synchronize Now"
with same outcome - no Forefront updates.

Is there a Forefront WSUS problem ?

After several retries today, a backlog of updates were suddenly available and
downloaded at around 18:00 UTC/GMT.

Given that the WU/MU and WSUS systems are likely being saturated with
downloads for MS08-067...

I didn't find it particularly surprising at all that there was a delay in a
routine Forefront update today.

Ditto. I've not received an automatic update for Windows Defender since 14
October either.

NB: Both Forefront and Defender can be updated manually via
http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/
