I have a failing optional wireless driver update that I'd like to hide.
I already updated the driver via a Dell update.

When I go to View Update History, and right click, I only get View Details,
and Copy Details options. No Hide Update option.

I am running as Administrator.

My Update process has been running non-stop for about a week with no progress.
I just rebooted and discovered a raft of updates pending behind that. On
this pass I seem to making some progress. But still no "Hide Update" option.

Dave.

Hi there,

I have the impression that you are having automatic updates enabled and are
trying to hide the update from there?

If so you will have to go to the windows update site and scan for updates
there, as soon as you get the unwanted driver in the picture unmark the
checkbox for the driver. (hide the update)

Best regards,
Michel Denie

Hi Michel

I know what you mean, I use WinXP (desktop) all the time, the laptop is
Vista Ultimate SP1.

If you think we have heaps to learn, my friend has just got a new computer
with Vista on it. Previously she was using Windows Me !!!!

Hi K,

Thats nice to hear

I have had Millenium running well for 5 years without a reinstall lol!

It was to my opinion the best win 9x version there was.

A lot of people cursed it though, not aware of the virtual memory leak it
had and when not fixed it crashed a lot lol.

To bad microsoft never fixed the virtual memory leak,ME would have made a
better impression for sure.

I have vist running to but only on the testing system and on the main comp
in a virtual machine to study it

Best regards,
Michel Denie
