No internet access via browser after autoupdate

Hi, I just had an automatic update (says Software Distribution Service 3.0)
and after that my browser IE7, no longer accesses the internet.

Java apps that connect to the internet still work, pinging also still works.
The problem is limited to my browser. I restored to an older restore point
for now, but I'd like a solution eventually.

Anybody else having the same issue?

Thanks for your response, that did the trick.

Just one remark: the link in the notification mail did not work.
