Hi,

Recently I am not able to login hotmail from OE. Is this service terminated?

Greetings wu,

Nope, still should be working if it was working.

Although you may want to upgrade to the latest version of the protocol by using the Windows
Live Mail beta:

Asking a Hotmail/MS Outlook Express question in a Windows Live Messenger
group. Do you even know where you are?

Nearly as I can tell, questions pertaining to Hotmail are still answered in
the 'microsoft.public.msn.discussion' group. So I will cross post this to
that group, and set the "Followup-To:" to that group, as well.

As for MS Outlook Express 6 access to Hotmail, it is still working for me on
an old, grandfathered account, which was recently force over to Windows Live
Hotmail from MSN Hotmail by the Windows Live group (the folks who used to be
"MSN", I guess). So I don't know if they are cutting off access, or what.

Do you know where you are? I am here...
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...c108e057ef&p=1
....the indication is that the group is "MSN Discussion" since at the top of
the page it says... "Re: no more hotmail access from outlook express? in MSN
Discussion"

Dave,
The original message may have been posted in the wrong group
The current headers show:
microsoft.public.msn.discussion,microsoft.public.w indows.live.messenger

A few days ago, it was crossposted(see quoted text below) to this
public.msn.discussion group with follow-up set this group.

"Nearly as I can tell, questions pertaining to Hotmail are still answered in
the 'microsoft.public.msn.discussion' group. So I will cross post this to
that group, and set the "Followup-To:" to that group, as well."

Most find that it may be easier to negotiate the groups and thread sequences
via an nntp capable newsgroup client instead of the web based interface.
Suggestions for nttp clients are Outlook Express(XP), Windows Mail(Vista),
Windows Live Mail(XP or Vista), or other capable third party client.
If an nntp client is available, this link will setup the newsgroup in that
client

Absolutely. I am here...

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...msn.discussion

But I found the original post here:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...live.messenger

....which isn't where a person should expect any Hotmail, or MS Outlook
Express expertise.

I believe this is right, since there is no Hotmail group named as such
unless you have taken the time to learn French or Spanish.

Cheers/Saludos/Salut,

Earle
