No more sound in Live Messenger 8.1

Hi there!
Today I'm encountering this new problem: LM 8.1 doesn't play sounds
anymore! I mean sounds for alerts, new incoming msg , etc. and also
audio in video-calling; furthermore, LM doesn't show anymore the music
WMP or WinAmp are playing. I've never encountered these problems before!
I've already tried launching several times LM wizard for audio/video
setup, but nothing changed!
I'm sure soundcard and volume are ok, because I can hear sounds from
music or movie files played with WMP or whatelse.
So what can I do?? Can anybody help me??

Are you using a Logitech webcam by any chance? What I've noticed in the
past is the Logitech drivers will reset your default sound card device to
the Logitech webcam instead of your PC's sound card. Try going into Control
Panel and then Hardware and Sound Devices and checking to make sure that
your sound card is set as default for the operating system sounds.

hey!!!

I think that if you haven't done it go to tool's then options then alert's
and sounds and see that all the alerts are checked and you can even preview
them to make sure that they are the right sound's...
