no path for task manager

hi, ihave a problem with task manager. some time ago i installed task
killer, an appl. similar to the task manager. when i instaled it it
gave me the option to completely replace the tm, which i did. the
program is fine and i have no problems with it, only thing is that now
if i try to open the tm, the error c/windows/system32/tasmgr.exe the
path does not exist. i uninstalled the task killer appl. but the tm
didn't come back.how do i get the tm back? do i have to touch the
registry or there is a way to downloa it and install it again? i try
google but no luck. i try to run the installation disc of vista because
i tought it would find the missing files and replace them but the only
options i have is checkdisc [wich i run], system restore, backup and
new install, so nothing there. what should i do? thanks everyone

if of interest, i downloaded process exp;rr where there is an option to
restore the task manager and it worked a treat

Can't you copy it from another Vista machine, and then replace it back in
the system32 folder? You could extract it from the Vista DVD, but it'd be
easier for you to just copy it.
