Hello,

can anybody tell me how I can get full permission as an administrator on
a newly created useraccount's profile folder?

When created, only the user has acces, and as admin I must take
ownership to gain access.

Can I make it happen that I have access every time a new account/profile
is created?

We are working with win2008 server with AD
-->Profiles
--->students
-->newstudent

tx for any help.

no 2008 experience here, but, can you not modify the permissions on the
"students" folder so that, by default, administrators have full control over
any folders created there?

By default administrators have full controll on the folder students
but when a new student/new profile folder is created, the admin doesn't
have permission to even open the folder!
thats the main problem.

Hello nico,

Check the following article and the GPO setting Computer Configuration\Administrative
Templates\System\ User Profiles
"Add the Administrator security group to the roaming user profile share":
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc758768.aspx

Also see this one:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc757013.aspx

M.,

your solution worked perfect.
Question though, is there like a google-engine for this kind of Q & A
regarding microsoft products?
Tx again.

You can find lots of things with google, but don't forget they are a
microsoft competitor! ;-)
