Greetings,

Are you just seeing the standard Messenger head icon? If so, this could be the result of a
third-party firewall (like ZoneAlarm), in which case you may want to completely uninstall it
to avoid it conflicting with Messenger.

Allowing full access to live messenger in Norton firewall did not work.
Should I try to repair messenger or could this be a Visata issue? Thanks

Hi,

Uninstall the Norton Firewall (don't worry, you can reinstall it afterwards) to verify that
is or isn't the problem -- and no, just disabling it isn't good enough. It's a problem that
people have encountered before. If it works after that, you can go ahead and reinstall the
firewall, I think you'll find that most likely it'll continue working.

You can go ahead and attempt a repair if you like, but I doubt it will change anything.
