What mail service are you using (the part of your e-mail address after
the @)?
What type of account is it? POP3, IMAP or HTTP?
If unsure, In Windows Live Mail (WLM): Right click the mail account's
name in the folder pane, then select Properties, Servers.
That would happen if the message headers are corrupted during download.
Possible causes of that are anti-virus or anti-spam program scanning
messages as they download.
