No sound with internet or programs

I was plugging in my speakers when the system crashed. After that my
computer will only play sounds/music from Itunes or windows media player.
Programs or internet will not play sound/music. I have tried restoring the
computer and updating the driver but it has not worked. Please help.

Look at the Properties of the speakers in Control Panel, Sounds.
