I've tried the various "open as" alternatives and none of them work.
Friends send me e-mail with photos and sound and I can open them. I have
Microsoft's Encarta dictionary and I used to be able to hear a word
pronounced correctly by it. Now, that no longer works. I took my computer
to the local sick computer shop. I hope the experts there can help. Thank
you for your offer. I am in VA so we are three time zones away from each
other. One possibility is that Vista has come out with a service pack that
I have been unable to successfully install. That MIGHT correct the problem.
