Maybe the web pages don't have sound?
Want to be more specific and post to a more appropriate NG -
For example, IE6 -
Internet Explorer - OE Client
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...er.ie6.browser
or
Web Client - General
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...&lang=en&cr=US
For IE7 assistance, please post to :microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.
Web interface -
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...plorer.general
Newsreader -
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...plorer.general
Or maybe it's a Vista issue -
Welcome to Microsoft Windows Vista Newsgroups
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/com...s/default.mspx
or one of these -
Windows XP Newsgroups
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...ewsgroups.mspx
Discussions in Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...&lang=en&cr=US
But whatever the problem is, it sure aint a Windows Update issue unless you're referring
to sound on the Windows Update site - and as far as I'm aware, that don't have sound.
