no sounds from Side Window gadget

I have installed a nice little gadget to my Vista side window called
'side player'. You type a song title and artist name, and out comes the
music.

well...at least that is the theory.

It works on a Sony Vaio portable, but not on my Acer TravelMate 6292,

Any ideas?

Did you check with the folks who wrote or distribute the gadget to see what
they say?
