Greetings,
While I was away on a brief vacation, Microsoft updated my Win XP Pro
computer and re-started it. When I came home I logged in as usual. When
the opening screen appeared, I had WallPaper and NO Icons and NO startup
bar. I can launch TaskManager by pressing Ctrl/Alt/Delete and with that end
a session or even run a program but NOTHING show on my desktop but wallpaper!
I tried starting in SaFE mode but that did NOTHING but give me a black
screen with no Icons.... tough I do believe I saw some sort of image of the
start bar as it was loading Safe Mode (at least a flicker of it).
How can I get my computer back? This is a miserable mess!
Joe
