As of 3 wks ago, I've had no success with updating my Windows XP Pro;
whenever I try to update manually it gives this error code (Error: Agent
failed detecting with reason: 0x80004005)-
Automatic updates have been set up, but no updates have been installed for 3
wks.
Any help with this will be more than appreciated. thanks

I have the same problem, I went to Microsoft Download center
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/S...displaylang=en and at the top
in search, I chose all download. Next to it I put in the file code KB******
to be download from the Windows Update website, (custom).
