no updates of IE

Hello from Germany,

are there known problems with SUS updating the Internet Explorer (5 to 6)?
My W2k-workstations don´t do that update, other updates are okay.
Next Question:
Any ideas; why updates are repeatedly installed? (MSXML 4.0 in my case,
three computers)
