Yes, but note that those are not program updates. They are updates to
the definitions that permit Windows Defender to recognize malware.
Since there are constantly new malware programs and variations
appearing, any anti-malware program (whether anti-virus or
anti-spyware) has to provide very frequent such updates. If it
doesn't, it is near useless.
