"No updates were installed" for any of the updates

Hi there,

I tried doing critical updates like KB834707 and others but no luck. Then I
tried doing the updates one by one but still failed. I then tried other
Windows 2000 updates but same message was shown. I realized that I couldn't
do any update. Could this be due to a virus? If anyone out there know what
sort of virus does this please let me know. Thank you very much.

Hi;

When you attempt to install one of those updates, what happens exactly?
What error messages do you see on-screen, and what errors are entered into
the .\Windows\Windows Update.LOG file for that session?

Also, are you using an Admin-level account when doing the updates? Which
service pack do you have installed on your Win2000 system?

Last, if you think even remotely that you might have a virus then I'm
guessing it's safe to say you haven't scanned recently. Definitely
update the AV software and AV data files on your system and do a complete
scan right away.
