No Video & Audio Conversation at the same time in Vista

Hi All

Last month I had the Beta version of Vista Home Premium and there was no
problem holding video conversations with my equipment.

Having now purchased and done a fresh install of the full retail version I
am getting the
"You cannot have a Video Conversation and a Voice Conversation at the same
time" message.

Running the Audio & Video Set up Wizzard, everything seems 100% ok.
I can see my video ok, and the microphone level hapily bounces up and down
as I talk.
However if I actually try to hold a video conversation with somone, the
microphone volume stays at minium and no audio is sent.
If I start an audio conversation and click the Video icon, I get the above
message
Any ideas anyone?
It's driving my wife mad as she likes to chat to her parents most days - and
if she is getting hassle, then I get hassle!

I had this same issue. What I found was that when I do the audio and video
tuning on the speaker setup; putting a check on the (CLick hear if you are
using the headphones) will give the symptoms you described. Do not enable the
check and hopefully your issue will be resolved.

Mark.... Also (if you didn't know) if you are in a video conversation and
click on the <call a contact> button you will get that message.

"You cannot have a Video Conversation and a Voice Conversation at the same

You have to stop the video conservation; than click the <call a contact>
button; then you can do just a audio conversation. It works the other way
too. If your doing just audio and want to do video and audio conservation.
Than stop the audio and click on the video/audio call button <video call>.
