Non-Hotmail email address won't verify

I use my own personal, non-Microsoft email address with Windows Live
Messenger. It seems that my email address won't verify. I walt through the
process and get to the "Send Message" button, and click that, but I never
receive the verification email

I have made sure that the verification email is not being filtered in any
way, it just seems the email is not getting sent. Thus, I am not able to
verify the email address.

Anyone have any ideas?

Greetings Tony,

They do send, although sometimes they get queued and don't come for a few hours. Otherwise
it's possible the e-mail server you're using is eating it up for some reason...

Jonathan:

Thanks for your answer. However, I run my own Exchange server at home (I
work in IT) and I am sure my server is not rejecting the email, or otherwise
disposing of it.

Further, I have gone through the verification process numerous times over
the period of many weeks, and still receive no email.

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Tony,

Ah, okay.

Well, you can always have Passport/Windows Live ID services verify it manually for you:
