My hard drive was infected with something (my CD drives and IEEE devices
weren't working anymore) that Norton wasn't catching and those idiots wanted
to charge me $99 to fix what their $99 product couldn't. I did a scan on my
computer using OneCare and it found 5 threats: Backdoor: Win 32, Trojan
Clicker, Trojan Downloader, Program PowerRegScheduler, and someting else that
I didn't write down. I have since done another scan and has found no threats.

My questions is simple: I need to download thee drivers that whatever messed
up on my hard drive since I can't use the CD drives to do it. I'm not usre
whose sites to trust or not. Can anyone advise please?

If you are using Windows XP or Vista, Windows may be able to reinstall the
drivers you need for your CD Drive and IEEE device. Try going to Device
Manager, right click on the problem devices and select uninstall/remove.
Shut down completely. Restart and let Windows detect the devices the drivers
from its resources {on your hard drive} or search for the drivers you need.

If you lost access to your CD/DVD drives due to the removal of the threats, you
may want to try MVP Doug Knox's utility here:
