Has anyone had any problems with Ghost or Vista since last Tuesday's
updates?

Over the years I have had problems with Norton?Symantec ***anything*** when
it is installed on a computer. The fact that you experience problems with it
is not news to me - or countless others.

Most knowledgeable persons uninstall Norton, Symantec, ZoneLabs Suites or
McAfee ***anything*** from any new computer they set up for their
customers/clients. And they never purposely install it as an option.

There are much better programs available that do the same (or better) job
and do not suck up your computers resources as the programs from these
companies do.

Thanks, but I'm not an Acronis fan.

No issue's here on Vista Ultimate(all Windows Updates installed).
If you believe that Windows updates created an issue, restore to an
image prior to the updates(using the cd) then install the Windows
updates one at time.
If you find an issue with an update you might consider posting it in the
Windows Update newsgroup instead of this 'general' Vista forum.

I used to be concerned with resources on some of the Symantec products
especially in XP(NIS 2006 and NSW2005 were huge hogs)..but that's just
not the case anymore in these designed for Vista applications(N360,
Ghost 12).

Thanks, but my news server does not have a Vista Update newsgroup.

Why go through a middleman (your news server) when you can go directly to
the source?
msnews.microsoft.com can be accessed directly from your newsreader like
Outlook Express or Vista Mail.
