Norton Systemworks Antivirus, Autoprotect

The autoprotect option does not activate when I start the computer, I have
changed the settings, gone back to original setting but I still get same
message of error, Autoprotect not activated, Mail protection error and
Windows Security alert indicates that my equipment may be at risk because
ther is no antivirus iworking? has somebody solved this problem?
