It counts for gaming but for other work Ubuntu just doesn't cut it. (I.E.
programs that just don't exist on Ubuntu)

I'm not too stupid to install Ubuntu. I did install Ubuntu and decided that
it was piece of crap and I didn't want to waste any more time. I had to get
real work done so I went back to the solution that provided me that avenue.
Ubuntu would have completely wasted my time and offered me nothing.

I would assume that most people who try Ubuntu can figure that out for
themselves. That is why Ubuntu/Linux doesn't do well on the desktop.

So if Ubuntu works for you then great. You have an OS which is free that
you can use. For the rest of the world, they need something they can really
use.

XP and Vista provide that solution.
