Not able to view WSUS admin console

I'm getting the following error when i try to access the WSUS console.I have
enough previlege but still i'm getting the following error message.
"" Error connecting to the Windows Server Update Services database
There was an error connecting to the Windows Server Update Services
database. Either the database is not available or you do not have the correct
privileges to access the database ""

I'm pretty much worried as i have 3 more down level servers getting
replicated from this server

Please help me..I would require a solution for this badly..

Also sqlserver.exe is utilising nearly 500MB of memory.I jus wonder..will it
eat up this much memory ?

microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services
