A black screen from the very beginning after you press the power button? Not
ANYTHING?
What brand is the machine. Do you normally see a splash screen with the
brand of machine or just a bunch of info about hardware? Are you trying F1
because that's what is supposed to get you into BIOS/Setup? Again, what
brand and what specific model machine is it? Be as specific as you can.
