I've got a problem with the connection to Messenger Live
The message with the error code I get is 80048820
Extended error code is 80048412
I use windows vista
Windows live messenger was working properly but suddenly it stopped doing
it. In addition, when I try to log in in www.hotmail.com , a certificate
error appears as if the page weren't secure enough
Thank in advance

Hello P. Di Stolfo

I try to see the web page that you've just given to me but when I go to this
page then I'm taken to another web page which is
http://www.google.com.mx/hws/dell-ro...t=90&width=120

does this have to do with the msn problem I have?

Hello,

I recommend you that you do a thorough malware and spyware/virus check on
your PC because the redirection to that page is not normal behavior.
Which operating system do you have?

For the Live Messenger issue, I'll tell you what the website says (assuming
you have Windows XP or 2000):
Click Start -> Run -> regsvr32 softpub.dll -> Enter

Have you got a proxy in your Internet Explorer connection? It may disturb
the connection of Live Messenger. To remove it, go to Internet Explorer,
click Tools -> Internet Options -> tab "Connections" -> click LAN
settings -> untick the "Use proxy server..." box -> OK -> OK

Are you in a network, using a router?

Greetings,
P. Di Stolfo
